The Sino-Ocean Group announcement only published partial information. In the announcement, the two Sino-Ocean Group companies are selling the Right of First Refusal for the mall and the parking area, because they don’t own the mall directly. The ownership of the mall has been transferred to a Chinese ABS plan, sponsored by Sino-Ocean Group. The buyer is a list company in China and published more details in its announcement in Chinese. The price for the mall is RMB 1.604 billion, but the amount is not going to Sino-Ocean Group.

Imagine trading at 50c on the dollar (P/NAV) and still acquiring assets. I feel sorry for the shareholders. Why not just do a buyback? ARA looking after their AM fees instead of the shareholders. Shame.

The person who bought the property is a well known fraud in the bangladesh market whose companies embezzled billions from the domestic banking system- just google.
